Cloud and infrastructure migration
Retire the server in the closet without losing a file, an email or a weekend.
- Price
- Fixed-fee, quoted after a free call.
- Typical timeline
- 4 to 8 weeks
Sound familiar?
- Our file server is old and the warranty ran out.
- There is still a server in the closet running Active Directory.
- Our old hosting company runs our email and we want out.
- Working from home is painful because everything lives in the office.
- We are on Microsoft and want Google, or the other way around.
What is included
- Discovery: an inventory of servers, shares, applications, accounts and who uses what.
- A target design: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for mail and files, and Azure, Google Cloud or AWS for anything that still needs a server, based on how your team works and what you already pay for.
- Platform switches in either direction: Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace, or Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, with mail, calendars, contacts and files.
- An identity plan for moving off on-premises Active Directory, or running hybrid while you transition.
- File migration to Google Drive and Shared Drives, or SharePoint and OneDrive, with permissions mapped, not flattened.
- Email migration from old hosting with no lost mail.
- A cutover plan with a rehearsal and a written rollback path.
- A plan to retire and securely wipe the old hardware.
What you receive at the end
- As-built documentation of the new setup.
- An admin guide written for whoever runs IT day to day.
- A record of what was moved, what was retired and where everything lives now.
Who it suits
- Offices still running a local file server or domain controller.
- Businesses leaving an old web host or email provider.
- Teams that work from more than one place.
Where this work happens
Discovery and cutover planning are remote. The physical side, retiring the server in the closet and wiping the hardware, is done on site in Carson City and Reno, or with someone local elsewhere.

Cloud migration: common questions
How much downtime should we expect?
Cutovers are scheduled for evenings or weekends and rehearsed first. Most staff log in on Monday to the new setup with a one-page guide waiting for them.
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365? And which cloud?
Whichever fits how your team works, and often the one you already pay for. Both productivity suites and all three clouds are run here, so the recommendation comes with the reasoning and the monthly cost, not a favorite.
Do you resell licenses or hardware?
No. You buy directly from Microsoft, Google or your existing reseller, so there is no markup and no lock-in.
